“In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.” – George Orwell

I cannot say that I am a fan of truth. I don’t hate it either. What I do hate is politics. Especially young people getting into politics and playing the game. It all looks and sounds very pure and idealistic, but sooner rather than later, with a little logic and a healthy dose of paranoia, it becomes pretty clear what everybody is looking for in politics:

Power!

Especially now, when local elections in Jerusalem are coming up. I see these political organizations sucking up to people. I expect to see a young, up and coming politician offer me a blow job in the street in the next month or so. “All in the name of  a better tomorrow” – they’ll be quick to tell you.

Well, FUCK YOU! and your tomorrow, what about TODAY? What on earth have any of you done today to change the world for the better?

Even more frustrating is seeing my friends that now want to go and vote, my friends that are ready to lend a hand to a system based on lies and deceit. I am so sorry to see so many of them go down that road.

I am still not voting. Ever. I am waiting for that beautiful day when I will hear the news saying that the turnout at the elections was 0%. Yes, I do have a dream.

This Is Us: New Immigrants

In Israel there is a special industry – immigration. Based on the Zionist dream of bringing all diaspora Jews to Israel, this doesn’t work exactly well. There are many problems and here is one of the angles…

Being an immigrant to Israel myself, I do relate to this song. It is a simple and angry view on how the Israeli government brought thousands of people to Israel and then… Vulkan & friends lay it down!
